Turned Wood Items
Cherry, ash, and oak segmented bowl. First attempt at this so there may be some tooling marks inside the bottom of the bowl. Finished with bees wax and orange oil finish and final coat of shellac. 1 available.
Dimensions: 6 1/2″ diameter, 3 1/2″ tall.
Screech Owl House
Screech Owl House. Made from pine with two coats of Outdoor Sherwin Williams Paint. 3 inch entrance and perch inside the house. This needs to be placed inside a tree line facing an open area like a field at about 10″. It should not be placed facing your yard. Made to open and clean out yearly. Simply put dry leaves back in, these owls won’ build a nest. I had an American Kestrel nest in mine last years.
Dimensions: 8x18x 8 inches deep for the nesting area. Backboard is 8×26 inches.
I cannot nor will not guarantee that owls or other birds will nest in these boxes. These are designed for Screech Owls to use, but other critters might take advantage of it – or nothing could. Much of it depends on the placement and the type of bird or critter looking for a home!
2 chamber bat house. Made from exterior plywood and caulking for weather proof living for the bats.. This has grooves made so the bats can easily enter either chamber. This should be placed at least 10″ high and where sun can get to it during parts of the day. Painted with 2 coats of Sherwin Williams Outdoor paint. Natural Insect Control.
Dimensions: 17 inches by 21 inches tall with an air vent 3 inches up for both chambers.
I cannot nor will not guarantee that bats will use this house. Every attempt has been made to research and build a box to house bats. Much of it depends upon where it is located and if the bats decide to use it! Every attempt has been made to research the correct dimensions and size for the bats.
